This will be SGA’s fourth visit to the birthplace of golf. Our former attendees cannot say enough good things about this trip. The Old Course hotel is fabulous in elegance and service, the tiny town of St. Andrews is charming, the views from the breakfast room of the Old Course are out of this world, and playing the Old Course itself truly puts a person in touch with all that is good about golf.

As the great Bobby Jones said, “I could take out of my life everything except my experiences at St. Andrews and I would still have a rich, full life.”

Please mark your calendars and begin your plans to join us. Accommodations will be in the five-star Old Course Hotel right on the golf course. This is a “Kohler Experience” hotel and there are no stones unturned by the famed American company to make this hotel one of the very best in the world.

SGA will play The Old Course, Castle Course, and The Duke’s. The Old  Course is walking only; Castle Course is more lenient regarding walking, and golf carts are scheduled for all who want them on The Duke’s. Caddies (who will carry golf clubs as well) and pull carts can be arranged on all courses. One day will be left for sightseeing or enjoying the lovely small town of St. Andrews. And we will not miss Tommy Morris’s final resting place, which is in the town cemetery and within walking distance of the hotel.

SGA Plans will include five nights lodging at the five-star Old Course Hotel by Kohler, three rounds of golf with clubhouse lunch following, electric cart at The Duke’s (caddies/pull carts can be arranged at all courses), sumptuous Scottish breakfast daily, welcome reception and dinner, farewell reception and dinner in Tom Morris Bar and Grill, including kilt rental and entertainment, private executive coach and driver for four days (June 17 to 20) for transfers to and from golf courses and sightseeing, tour guide on June 18 for sightseeing, transfers to and from Edinburgh Airport, souvenir photo book of golfers playing Old Course (mailed afterwards),  taxes, resort fee, entry fee and prizes.

SGA FoGs (Friends of Golfers) will enjoy a luncheon together and a sightseeing or shopping trip also. Everyone will love strolling the old-fashioned streets of St. Andrews and sampling their authentic Scottish restaurants.

Both the Old Course and the Old Course Hotel are extremely busy and are completely sold out for most dates in 2024. Edinburgh Airport (EDI) is less than an hour from St. Andrews, and transportation to the hotel is provided (see above). SGA is planning a “Rory McIlroy Tribute” trip, where we have scheduled play on Rory’s home course, Holywood, in Northern Ireland. This will be the following week, so participants can extend their trip to Europe for two weeks, or longer if they like.
