Cost for one golfer, double occupancy, is $2250. One non-golfer, double occupancy cost is $1880, and single occupancy golfer is $2675. Deposit is $1000 per person. To upgrade to an historic Inn room, add $30 per night per room. To encourage our members to register early, we are offering a $100 discount per guest room if deposit is received by March 1. Balance is not due until April 19.
Day of arrival and welcoming dinner is Cynthia’s birthday, May 19. Celebrate with us! Scheduled golf will be May 20, 21 & 22. If you prefer two days of golf, just let us know. Awards dinner is the evening of May 22. Departure date is May 23, 2024.

Want to go to heaven on earth? Just west of Asheville, North Carolina, in the Appalachian Smoky Mountains is the newly-imagined Waynesville Inn and Golf Resort. This is the mountain home of Senior Golfers of America, and the final resting place of SGA founder Bob Swanson. With a legacy dating back to 1926, when Donald Ross chose an old dairy farm as the perfect setting for his Carolina 9 course, the foundation of the Waynesville Inn and Golf Club has always been one of highlighting our beautiful natural world, specifically, the magical Smoky Mountains of North Carolina.
Because of the very special members of Senior Golfers of America who live nearby, we are invited to play the opening round at the beautiful sister mountain course, Springdale/Cold Mountain. SGA readers will remember the poignant Civil War classic Cold Mountain, which is based on author Charles Frazier’s family history. SGA’s first day of play will be at Springdale, a stunning mountain course boasting breathtaking views and pristine conditions.
SGA Director Cynthia Swanson is an original member of the new Waynesville Golf Club. The course has been redesigned from the old 27 holes to a championship 18-hole layout, all surrounding the Waynesville Inn. Old and new SGA members will find the re-imagine interesting, enjoyable, and absolutely beautiful.
Guest rooms at the Waynesville Inn are cozy and comfortable, with stunning views of the Smoky Mountains. SGA members and FOGs (Friends of Golfers) will love exploring the old-fashioned small town of Waynesville, with its charming Main Street and very cool public art offerings.
Costs include four nights lodging in comfortable Golf View building accomodations with two queen beds and balcony overlooking the Smokies, bathroom with bathtub and shower, walk-in closet, mini-refrigerator, microwave, three rounds of golf with cart, club storage, range balls, two group dinners with cocktails before, breakfast buffet daily, occupancy and state taxes, resort fees, entry fee & prizes.
