The Hotel Hershey, Pennsylvania
June 1, 2, 3, 4, 2025

Across his 88 years, Milton Hershey lived through some of the most tumultuous times in American history. He rose to captain one of the country’s most successful companies, preserving its wealth and also its charitable works against all odds. Before he met with incredible success, he failed time and time again, from his first candy shop at age 19. The fact that he continued to persist, to experiment, and to reinvent his product is iconically astonishing, and Hershey, Pennsylvania, is part of Americana to be enjoyed by all.

Mr. Hershey opened Hershey Country Club in 1930 on the twin principles of sporting excellence and refined luxury. That rich tradition continues today. Ranked by Golf Digest as one of the top 50 resorts in the US, the Club features two spectacular 18-hole private courses, the East Course and West Course.

The West is a traditional, yet ever-enjoyable course. Bird’s-eye views of the town of Hershey delight players as they make their way through a beautiful day of golf. The West Course requires all 14 clubs, making it great practice for golfers of all skill levels.

Designed by George Fazio in 1969, the East Course captures the beauty of Central Pennsylvania’s countryside at each and every hole. Longer and more challenging than the West, the East Course features elevated greens, three sparkling lakes, and more than 100 bunkers through which to maneuver.

The Senior Golfers will play Hershey’s short course, Spring Creek, on our opening day, leaving time that afternoon for some of the many activities below. Spring Creek also is historic, designed in 1932 as the first course in the United States open to players age 17 and younger. The layout remains beginner-friendly but will challenge the seasoned golfer as well, providing a memorable experience with immaculate greens, holes lined with mature trees, and the natural Spring Creek stream gently winding throughout.

The renowned Hotel Hershey sits atop a beautiful hillside, overlooking the stunning Hershey valley, and is rated as one of the finest of the Historic Hotels of America. SGA’s deluxe-category guestrooms feature one king or two queen beds and a newly-renovated bathroom with a walk-in shower. Other amenities include luxury bedding and bathrobes, refrigerator, and goose down duvet and pillows. All SGA guestrooms are located exclusively in the historic section of the property.

SGA members and FOGs (Friends of Golfers) will enjoy experiencing the Hershey Factory Tour, Hershey Gardens and Conservatory, Butterfly Atrium, The Hershey Museum, Smithsonian Automobile Museum, Founders Hall Visitor Center at Milton Hershey School, as well as many other attractions, shops, and restaurants in the iconic town of Hershey. The hotel shuttle runs continually into town, which is just a few minutes away.

Harrisburg International Airport (MDT) is 8.5 miles from the hotel. American, Delta, and United flights can be scheduled into MDT. Taxis and rideshares are available at the airport, and private transportation also can be arranged.
