Founded in 1976, the Senior Golfers Association of America conducts a number of senior amateur championships for senior and super senior gentlemen and ladies each year. These events are held throughout North America. SGA championships are recognized as prestigious, professionally organized senior amateur tournaments. Each has a long and unique history with some of the greatest players in senior amateur golf as past champions. Included are Terry Barker, Dick Askew, Ann Swanson, Frank Beam, Bump and Kathleen Jones, Bob Russell, Rich and Dottie Farmer, Joe Miles, Ginger Lash and Don White, to name just a few.
